Greggs have increased prices to cover the rising cost of ingredients
Customers have been left disappointed after the high street bakery increased prices of some of its products.
The famous sausage roll now costs 90p instead of 85p. The 5p rise has left a lot of greggs enthusiasts disappointed and some have even taken to twitter to air their complaints, using the hashtag #greedygreggs.

To make matters worse, the premium breakfast meal deal which includes a bacon, sausage or egg roll and a hot drink or fresh juice, will now cost £2.25 instead of £2. The basic breakfast meal deal is still available for £2, which only includes a bacon, sausage or egg roll.

A spokesperson for Greggs explained that “for customers who like to add extra pieces of bacon, sausage or egg to their breakfast sandwich, we have increased the prices by 25p to cover the cost of this.”
Unfortunately we've had to increase the price of some of our items due to the rise in ingredient costs ☹
