Cadbury has taken a leaf out of Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory – by hiding a special treat in one of it’s much-loved confectionery creations.
The British chocolate company today announced it is selling limited edition, white chocolate Cadbury’s Creme Eggs, which come with the chance to win up to £2,000.
However, in true Willy Wonka fashion, the white eggs and the prizes will be disguised as the classic Cadbury’s Creme Egg.
If you manage to find a white chocolate egg, instead of the standard milk chocolate version, you need to call up the number on the foil packaging, or post your packaging to Cadbury – and they’ll tell you if your white chocolate treat also comes with some free money.
While a single creme egg will set you back 58p for one, you can get a five pack for £2.85 and a twelve pack for £6.68 – plus, hopefully, a free £2,000…
The eggs went on sale on January 1, and will be in stores until April 1, 2018.
Here’s how the British public reacted…

There is a white creme egg somewhere in this land and I’m not being dramatic when I say that I need it to carry on surviving. 😱😍🤤
